BlueForesting was represented at the UN Ocean Conference, with different initiatives: dedicated time in CIIMAR’s stand to disseminate our project goals and methods; a talk on the importance of Marine Forests by the researcher João Franco (IPL-Leiria&Mare) and organized by our partner Casulo; and finally a joint projects workshop organized by CIIMAR, on the future of Marine Forests of the Portuguese Coast, where the researchers from the project Francisco Arenas, Isabel Sousa Pinto (CIIMAR) and Richard Bellerby (NIVA), together with Miguel Henriques from “Instituto da Conservação da Natureza e das Florestas”, gave talks on the importance to study, protect, restore and best manage Kelp Forests!
