Laminaria hyperborea cultivation

Blueforesting is testing active restoration techniques under different scenarios as a reliable nature-based solution to restore and protect degraded marine forests. One of the restoration methods being studied involves collecting mature seaweed receptacles which can be used for in vitro fertilisation. Their zygotes are grown indoors into seedlings to later test novel methods for reforesting coastal areas. We finally have our first cultivation of Laminaria hyperborea (commonly known as cuvie), which will soon be deployed for coastal reforestation.
